Routine Dental Examinations

Is your least favourite thing in the world visiting the dentist? We're here to change that. Life Dental Care is a family-centred practice focused on helping patients prevent and treat dental issues. In our opinion, routine dental examinations are something to look forward to. Who doesn't love a good check-up and cleaning?

How often should you visit the dentist?

As often as you like! We see patients constantly for dental check-ups, procedures and emergencies. However, the basic recommendation for routine examinations is every 6 months. The interval between these examinations allows us to detect issues early enough for treatment, but you are welcome to schedule an appointment at any time should you feel the need.

What happens during an examination?

Apart from a little catch-up on your dental health and oral hygiene habits, we'll look at your teeth and gums and perform X-rays to see if everything is in healthy working order. We use specialised tools to check your teeth and those hard-to-reach areas you may have missed during your daily brushing and flossing. The visit will end with a professional cleaning from our oral hygienist.
